Lenovo IdeaPad K1 gets vanilla Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, not for ‘casual' users

Lenovo's done something rather unique. It decided to update its IdeaPad K1 tablet from last year to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. That in itself wouldn't be special at all, but the company has released a vanilla Android update – without any customizations or ‘bloatware' in sight. That may sound great, but there are some big caveats.
First of all, Lenovo is releasing this as a ‘goodbye' present for K1 owners. This software version will never receive additional updates, and you won't be able to get support for it from Lenovo. Furthermore, the Google Play Store does not come preinstalled.
