Vaughn Gittin Jr. almost out-drifted by RC car

We've finally come to accept the fact that we'll never be Vaughn Gittin Jr. There can be only one one pure-bred drift hooligan of his caliber on this planet and truth be told, our sideways skills are paltry at best. That doesn't mean we can't pretend, though. Gittin Jr. has teamed up with a smattering of companies to give away five very limited-edition RC cars made up in the image of his sinister Ford Mustang GT drift machine. Only 5,000 of the HPI RC Ford Mustang cars will be produced in total, and Gittin Jr.

Earlier this month, when Motorola officially introduced the Defy Mini XT320, it said that the handset would be launched in Europe, Latin America, and China. So, no mention of North America. However, the Defy Mini has been approved by the FCC today, with WCDMA 850 and 1900 connectivity in tow - hence it may be released by AT&T in the US, or by Canada's largest mobile carriers. We'll let you know if we hear anything official about this.

Turbocharged Lamborghini? Not this decade, says Winkelmann

Turbocharged Lamborghini? Not this decade, says Winkelmann

Fear not, Lamborghini fans. According to Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of the brand, the company's vehicles will remain naturally aspirated "for now." Winkelmann recently spoke with Autocar, and said that the Raging Bull will remain turbo-free for at least the remainder of the decade. That means we won't see a forced-induction Lamborghini until 2020 at the earliest. That means that it's crystal-clear that the next-generation Gallardo, set to debut in two years or so, will not show up with a turbocharged engine as its heart.
That's interesting news for a number of reasons.

Aging Three-Row Still Light On Its Feet. All of the auto industry's big-time players are making large three-row crossovers these days, so the segment has become extremely competitive. With stalwarts like the Honda Pilot, Chevrolet Traverse and Ford Explorer at the top of the sales charts, how does a smaller automaker like Mazda compete. Two oft-repeated words: Zoom-Zoom.

Our Stormy Blue Mica tester is a Grand Touring model that boasts standard features like leather seating surfaces, along with hide-covered steering wheel and shift knob, eight-way power driver's seat and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity.

Higher-end Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming soon?

Higher-end Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming soon?

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a high-end device as it is, that's for sure. Still, even when it was announced a few months ago, it wasn't the absolute top of the line smartphone. For those of you disappointed that, for example, its dual-core CPU is only clocked at 1.2 GHz, here's something interesting. The Galaxy Nexus which is currently the top performer in the NenaMark benchmark has a PowerVR SGX544 GPU under the hood.

ATM gives out dead mouse

ATM gives out dead mouse

You know the economy is really going to bloody hell when ATMs start to pay bank customers with dead rodents, which is exactly what happened to this guy on the right. He got his cash and the dead Mickey on the left. His name is Gholam Hafezi and he was visiting his daughter in Ersboda, UmeÃ¥, in the north of Sweden. He wanted to take out 700 Swedish Kronor from this ATM located inside a Coop Forum, one of the shops of a famous Swedish supermarket chain: “I got my 700 kronor but I never got the receipt. At the same time, I saw a cord that was jamming the ATM slot.”

Yes, you know where this is going. But Hafezi didn't at the time.

Ford reports biggest profits since '98, still fails to meet estimates

Ford reports biggest profits since '98, still fails to meet estimates

Ford has announced the company's single largest profit since 1998, thanks in part to a one-time tax gain. The company drew in a net income of $13.6 billion last quarter and the news marked the automaker's 11th consecutive profitable quarter. For perspective, Ford made $190 million in 2010. The company's net income was bolstered by the fact that Ford eliminated a valuation allowance against deferred tax benefits. The company created the valuation allowance in 2006 when it began reporting operating losses.

The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx has been introduced to address the single most important issue that prospect 4G LTE users are facing: battery life. Of course, this is not a new challenge, and the original RAZR 4G LTE Android smartphone already had software features that made it battery-efficient. The most important of them is Smart Actions, a set of automated rules that can automatically turn the cellular broadband OFF whenever possible, whether it is at home, at work, or at any other known WiFi location. It is also capable or shutting many power-hungry systems at night.

OSIM is one brand name that is famous for its advanced massage chairs, but I have tried their out in showrooms over the years and realized that nothing beats a pair of seasoned human hands, especially when it comes to kneading the strategic parts of one's back as well as calf muscles. After all, the machine is only smart to a certain extent, and since each and every one of us have different body sizes and physical proportions, there is no magical “one size fits all” formula.

AT&T bleeds $6.7 billion after failing to pick up T-Mobile

How much is the cost of failure. AT&T is looking at a $6.7 billion loss during the fourth quarter because of the breakup fees incurred because it failed to pick up T-Mobile USA as intended. A similar period in the previous year saw the company report a profit of $1.09 billion. Still, despite the rather huge dent in their coffers, the company managed to achieve record iPhone sales as well as benefit from an influx of new subscribers.

When Tata's purchase of Jaguar and Land Rover began to appear inevitable, the question "Would you buy a Jaguar made in India?" was oft repeated.
