Alcatel OT986 gets official with 4.5″ HD screen, 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, and Android ICS

Alcatel really isn't a brand known for high-end smartphones. In fact, it isn't even that well known for making midrange devices. But in a world in which Huawei starts designing its own quad-core processors, certainly everything is possible. So ladies and gentlemen… enter the Alcatel OT986. Or the TCL S900 – that's the branding that will be used on the Chinese market.

This is an Android smartphone with a 4.5-inch 1280×720 HD IPS touchscreen, a dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in storage space, and HSPA+ support.
