Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding.
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack.

Best Buy has $700 off-contract price for Moto X, but it doesn't mean anything

Best Buy has $700 off-contract price for Moto X, but it doesn't mean anything

Quite a few of you have dropped us a line to let us know that Best Buy has an outrageously high price tag on its off-contract price for the Motorola Moto X. It's $700, and that definitely would seem a tad too high for a phone of this caliber (let's face it — the Moto X doesn't scream overly-expensive). There's only one problem with that — Best Buy's pricing isn't to be trusted. Best Buy often prices its off-contract smartphones beyond normal.
The reasoning? They don't stand to make much money on the sale otherwise.

How about a 5,000 mAh battery in a smartphone? The Changhong Z9 has just that

How about a 5,000 mAh battery in a smartphone? The Changhong Z9 has just that

Probably the most neglected spec in high-end smartphones these days is the battery capacity. Most manufacturers seem to think that their average buyers don't actually want to use their smartphones in a day. Or they care more about one mm shaved off here and there than they do about having a phone that actually lasts through a normal day without needing to be charged. Things are starting to change, but incredibly (and frustratingly) slowly. Motorola has the Droid MAXX handsets on offer, but only in the US (except for the first generation from long ago).

HTC One MAX leaked in new photo ahead of IFA Berlin

While the “just right” size of the original HTC One is fine enough for most people, there are always going to be that few in the bunch who need something different. HTC's looking to fill those needs, whether your desire be for something smaller, like the now-official HTC One Mini, or something bigger, like the rumored HTC One Max. The latter is said to be a 5.9-inch version of HTC's 2013 flagship, which would also be HTC's first real foray into the phablet category that seems to be getting crowded as of late. Now, we have a first-hand look at that device in the flesh.

Samsung Galaxy Golden Could Be New Android Flip Phone

Samsung Galaxy Golden Could Be New Android Flip Phone

Samsung did introduce the flip phone form factor that ran on the Android operating system in China sometime last year, where it was known as the Samsung SCH-W2013 if model numbers your cup of tea. The thing is, flip phones more or less lost out in the popularity race among smartphones for quite some time now, since one of the main drawbacks would be the screen size, or rather, the lack of it. Perhaps things might change for the better with the Samsung Galaxy Golden.

Kia Hotbots come back out to play with 2014 Forte

Kia Hotbots come back out to play with 2014 Forte

Kia is bringing back its so-called "hotbots," the slightly disturbing female robots that traipse about the uncanny valley while hustling the new Forte and "respecting the tech," for three new, humorous animated spots. The Hotbots first debuted during Kia's latest Super Bowl spot, which followed the debut of the 2014 Forte sedan at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Each new spot follows the premise of the two originals, with the hotbots protecting the Forte while the oblivious owner stands by.
