I reported last week that BlackBerry had officially responded to Detwiler Fenton analyst Jeff Johnston's claim that Z10 return rates in the U.S. were exceeding sales. The company rubbished these reports as completely false and said that Z10 return rates aren't abnormally high, rather they're in line with the rates for other premium smartphones in the market. Apparently the company was furious about these claims and said that it would ask regulators in both the U.S. and Canada to investigate.

T-Mobile HTC One To Release On April 24

Back in February T-Mobile announced that it would be carrying the HTC One smartphone. At the time they did not reveal when it was going to be released, and don't forget the delay HTC One has faced due to manufacturing holdups. Last week Best Buy started taking pre-orders for the T-Mobile HTC One, but still the magenta carrier didn't reveal when the device was going to be released. A screenshot of a leaked internal memo pegs the release date at April 24.
At first it was image of a T-Mobile retail store planogram that pointed at the April 24 launch date, then another screenshot of an internal memo surfaced bearing the same date.

Skype For Windows Phone 8 Loses Beta Tag In New Update

Today Microsoft has released a new update of the Skype for Windows Phone 8 app. The beta tag that previously accompanied this app has now been dropped in the latest update, which brings the version number up to 2.5. Despite that, there aren't any substantial new features in this update. The new Skype for Windows Phone 8 version 2.5 is now available for download from the Windows Phone Store. The new app update primarily brings general improvements and better reliability. Various bugs have been fixed which plagued both chat and video chat, they've also fixed some crashes.
