It's that time of the month again. Android's platform distribution numbers have officially been updated with the latest numbers for the month of December, 2013. Not just stats for Android fans to praise (or haters to scoff at), this is a tool used by Android developers to track a specific firmware's grown or decline, deciding whether building their apps to support an older firmware is even worth their time. This month we have Android 4.4 KitKat making it's debut in the charts, account for a whopping 1.1% of Android devices that have recently checked into the Google Play Store within the last 7 days.

Savvy Google Glass Explorers have been using Google Play Music on their Glass for about a month thanks to manually installing the Google Music APK via ADB. Shortly after this method became public, Google announced that in the coming weeks an official method for using Google Play Music on Glass would be made available. That day is today. To get the official Google Play Music Glassware, head on over to your MyGlass app and activate it there. If you jumped the gun and sideloaded the Google Play Music APK, you'll need to uninstall it before activating the official app.

Samsung working on 20 megapixel camera for next Note

Samsung will be the latest manufacturer to get into the megapixel race, according to a report from ET News. The company's Mobile Advanced Development team is already working on 20 megapixel camera modules. The global market leader is allegedly still facing difficulties with the implementation of Optical Image Stabilization option, so it's looking for other means to differentiating its products.
Samsung's upcoming camera module is expected to debut in the second half of next year.

I've recently met with the creators of PingPong, an app that is aimed at providing a higher level of interaction between teachers and students. It works by simply letting teachers create questions either on the spot (during class), or as a series or prepared questions (exam-style) that students will have to answer, possibly in a limited time. The beauty of the app really resides in its simplicity and the fact that it is free. The user interface may appear a little Spartan, but that's exactly why it works so well: it is extremely easy to build questions, and answering them is even easier.
