Released in the US less than a month ago for just $199, Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet comes with a heavily skinned version of Android Gingerbread. In case you don't like that, you should be happy ton find out that someone has ported Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Kindle Fire. The Ice Cream Sandwich port is still a work in progress. The developer who's struggling with it has managed to make the touchscreen and the GPU acceleration work.
