As you might have heard, Asus is currently working on the successor of its relatively successful Eee Pad Transformer tablet and it was rumored that the new device will be released sometime in October this year. If you already planning to pick one up, get your wallet ready then as Asus' CEO Jerry Shen has revealed that the second generation Transformer will be priced at around RM 1,593 (USD 499). It is unknown whether the pricing is meant for just the tablet alone or together with the keyboard attachment, with the assumption that the company will still be using the same form factor from the original Transformer.
