Vodafone to add its own apps channel to Android Market

Vodafone to add its own apps channel to Android Market

It looks like Vodafone is about to do the same thing Sony Ericsson did, by rebranding the “apps” tab of the Android Market and having it contain a standalone selection of Vodafone-approved apps. The new tab will only appear to users connected through the network, of course, and will showcase “quality over quantity” when it comes to advising its customers which apps they may want to install. Apparently it's already live in quite a few European territories, including the UK. We're connected through Vodafone but aren't getting any exciting new tab action as yet.
